On behalf of the United States Coast Guard and Transport Canada, you are cordially invited to participate in the upcoming webinar regarding Canada-United States cooperation on Atlantic Region MCR (Maritime Commerce Resilience) scheduled for:

March 9th, 2015 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

This information session will serve as a starting point for the future development of MCR Guidelines tailored to the Atlantic Region, a process that will be based on the knowledge and expertise of regional stakeholders.

This initiative stems from the Canada-United States Perimeter Security and Economic Competitiveness Action Plan, which directs the development of regional bi-national plans to quickly restore maritime transportation system operations following a natural disaster, accident, security incident or other disruption.

Transport Canada and the United States Coast Guard previously facilitated the development of MCR Guidelines in both the Pacific Region and Great Lakes Region.  In order to leverage work already undertaken while ensuring that the Atlantic MCR Guidelines reflect local circumstances, the Pacific Northwest and Great Lakes MCR Guidelines will be used as a basis for discussion and amended as needed based on the advice of Atlantic Region stakeholders.

The purpose of this webinar is to introduce the project, discuss the path forward and to answer questions.  Subsequent in-person consultation sessions will provide the opportunity to discuss any specific amendments.

We invite you to please register well ahead of time using the following registration link:
